Welcome back to Weekend Wears, a Sunday evening series where I break down everything I wore this weekend.

Friday
A few years ago, after observing what felt like hundreds of fashion-y people wearing them on Instagram, I tried on, and purchased, a pair of $300 MOUSSY jeans.
I woke up from my fever dream, came to my senses and returned them the next day. But soon after, I remembered I actually already had a pair: I bought these for $20 at Barney’s in its chilling, feral final days (those who were there know).
Honestly they’re so stiff that sometimes I can’t breathe in them but I like them too much to let a little something like that stop me from wearing them. For a dinner date with my friend Alex, I paired them with a silky white button-down from H&M and boots from Thursday Boot Company.
Saturday
It was a very important Saturday because my friends Melissa & Jen got married in a beautiful ceremony in Asbury Park, NJ.
According to their wedding website, the vibe dress-wise was: “Ask yourself: What would Tony and Carmella Soprano wear to a cocktail party out at the Jersey Shore?”
I think this vintage dress I got in LA a few years ago, paired with a vintage Diesel jacket, my mom’s TJ Maxx earrings and Reformation heels (similar-ish here) fit the bill.
Sunday
I spent the whole of Sunday basking in the glow of true love, with no voice from screaming and dancing for many hours, and suffering immensely from a hangover. It was the kind of wedding that makes you actually believe in love want to have a wedding. Just perfect.
I somehow managed to get myself out of bed to meet my family for Thai food in Queens that night, but the most I could do outfit wise was this very comfortable Everlane sweater, Levi’s from The Consistency Project, Blundstones and of course, a Zabar’s hat.
I’m going back to bed now goodnight I love you xoxoxoxo
