HAPPY FRIDAY! Happy new Beyoncé album day. Happy day-that-it’s-not-raining in NYC.
Welcome back to yet another installment of Friday Night Likes.
Likes this week include a very fun performance, cookies shaped like, well, you’ll see, and more.
What did you like this week? Let me know in the comments. And ENJOY!
Salty Brine / Joe’s Pub
If you have the opportunity to see Salty Brine, whose Living Record Collection is a fever dream cabaret of famous albums paired with famous works of literature paired with deeply personal storytelling, powerhouse vocals and massive personality, do. If you have the opportunity to see him at Joe’s Pub (which you do, twice this weekend!) PLEASE do.These ugly ass hamantaschen
This was the week I finally mustered up the courage to defy nana and make her famous hamantaschen recipe, even though every single year when I ask her for the recipe she says “don’t do it, it’s not worth it.” Agree to disagree, nana. /
They’re definitely not traditional triangles. In fact, they look decidedly like something totally different. All unique, all beautiful. I love them even though they’re ugly as hell. Maybe because they’re ugly as hell. And hey, at least the flavor is right!Completing a month-long pilates challenge
I committed to doing two pilates classes per week this month and man, it’s so fun to feel like you’re improving at something difficult!!! It’s still extremely challenging and the first five minutes of every class still seem to drag on into eternity, but I feel exponentially stronger — and proud of myself for sticking with it.Cowboy Carter
I actually cannot continue going on writing this because I have to go listen to the new Beyonce album. So far I’ve listened to the first five tracks and they’re all my favorite.
Goodbye have a good weekend I love you!
XO,
Jamie AF
When the flavor is right and a month long goal is achieved, all is good in the world!!
