This little newsletter has evolved quite a bit since 2021.
What started as a post-layoff dumping ground for the thoughts swirling around my mind at any given moment has transformed into something far more specific - a home to document my debt journey and its accompanying projects.
At its heart, Jamie AF is about vulnerability, sharing openly and honestly, trying to help people feel seen, and holding myself accountable.
It’s in that spirit that I am announcing a new series for paid subscribers this week: Resolution Report.
Each week, I’ll share thoughts and updates about the goals or dreams I set for myself in 2024.
In truth, the concept of the New Year’s resolution is problematic to me. I don’t believe success should be measured only in quantifiable achievement, and I don’t subscribe to hustle culture or pressure to be a “new you” in the new year.
What I do value – and am eternally curious about – is growth and change. In my therapy work over the last few years, I have worked diligently to change the aspects of my life that are not working.
In the Resolution Report, I'll share some of the new things I want to change – both silly and serious – and my failures and successes to do so along the way.
A list of my resolutions can be found below. We’re starting next week with a huge topic for me, and I know for many other people, too. I hope you’ll come back and join the discussion.
